Mina Zoulovits took part in Cyber Insurance & Incident Response Conference 2021, which was organized for the third year by ethosEVENTS.
Mina joined a panel of distinguished professionals to explain why the assignment of a legal counsel speciliazed in matters of cyber security and personal data is necessary when dealing with a cybersecurity incident. She explained the legal advisor’s role in laying down the risks involved and structuring along with the Data Controller the necessary risk-mitigating strategy in case of an obligation to submit any data breach notifications to the Authorities and, potentially, the data subjects.
The conference aimed primarily at examining the risks that affect a company’s day-to-day function, which may threaten the availability and smooth operation of its systems as well as severely affect its income and reputation. Another major objective of the event was to contribute to the growth of the cyber insurance market, highlighting its value as a risk management tool.
