The “Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund” is a grant programme to strengthen the intellectual property rights of SMEs in the EU, which operates on a priority basis due to the limited number of grants available.
- Who can be awarded a grant: SMEs established in the European Union based on the criteria of the programme.
- When to apply: from 10 January 2022 to 16 December 2022. The application must be submitted before the registration of the trademark, design or patent.
- For which fees reimbursement is possible:
– 75 % reimbursement of costs for application fees for trademarks and/or designs, additional fees per class and fees for examination, registration, publication, and suspension of publication at EU, national and regional level.
– 50 % reimbursement of costs for basic application fees for trademarks and/or designs, designation fees and fees for subsequent designation outside the EU. Excludes designation fees from EU countries, as well as handling fees charged by the home office.
– 50 % reimbursement of costs for pre-grant (e.g. filing, search and examination), grant and publication fees at national level.
Please note that the reimbursement of costs is subject to a maximum amount per case in accordance with the specific provisions of the scheme.
